Jailbreak iPod Touch 1.1.1
November 13, 07 by DougOne thing they people in the IRC channels forgot to tell me. . .after updating(even if you don’t have to restore) you have to re-add all your applications again.
Also, if you are using MobileMail.app from the 1.1.1 iPhone it will not work after it has been updated to 1.1.2.
I suggest weighing out the pros and cons. If I could take it back I would.
I will be doing this walkthrough as if you are on Windows. . .and currently have a 1.1.1 iPod Touch that has 3rd party applications on it already.
Go into Installer.app and install the Octuprep app. This is in ‘Tweaks 1.1.1′.
Connect your iPod to the computer, open iTunes, and click the ‘check for updates’. It will download the 150mb file and update your ipod.
While it is downloading and updating. . .download THIS. . .and extract it.
After it is updated and the iPod is ready close iTunes and double click on the windows.bat file from the archive you downloaded earlier.
Follow the instructions and it will jailbreak the iPod. I had to restart one last time before seeing the SSH application and installer.app on the springboard.
Now you are done and now you can begin to install all your old applications.
Go HERE for the 1.1.2 iPhone applications.
