I just posted about the 1.1.3 Jailbreak going live. This was leaked. . .and has a ruckus in the iPhone dev scene.
Since it was leaked it was not ready, at least for iPod Touch owners.
What this does is puts the iPhone firmware on the device. I hear email doesn’t work. . .until you SSH in and chmod a directory. Another thing is that it asks you to activate the “phone” and that it’s constantly “looking for service”.
Other than this everything works(except the apps that aren’t compatible with 1.1.3. . .aka customize, summerboard, and a few others). You can hex edit a plist file to make the system quit the ‘phone notifications’ but that’s rather complicated. Also you don’t get wobbly icons or iphone apps(unless you pay the 20 dollars in iTunes).
This is the complications that arise when something like this gets leaked. Although I do feel the jailbreak should have been released as soon as it was ready. . .I do not agree with the way it was leaked.

Ahh shiznit!
I upgraded my touch last night.
The wobbly icons don’t work, nor do customize and summerboard, but I’m not getting these looking for service or activate phone problems.

I know a few people in the IRC channel that do. . .kinda odd. You get wobbly icons with the 20 dollar purchase of applications from Apple. And I hear you can still purchase those applications even with a jailbroken iPod Touch and you’ll be OK.
