It has been 4 months since the site went live. . .I have been quite amazed with the results.
The website just past 650 members and adding between 5-10 per day.
I see more and more people are commenting on and rating the applications. . .this is great.
– The more people that comment on posts the more ‘friendly’ the site seems to new visitors.
– The more ratings the applications get the better the ‘Best of‘ categories are.
I have also installed a plugin that scans each post, and will link to any application mentioned. . .that I have previously reviewed.
This next addition has been a great improvement for the Summerboard Themes category. At the bottom of each application review you should see ‘Source – ‘ and then the source that you need to have to install this application or theme. I won’t lie, I sometimes forget to add this to the bottom of all reviews. . .but I try to at least do it for themes. I will soon begin adding this to all reviews.
We have an estimated 250 application and theme reviews(so far) here at InstallerApps.
We have been able to gain ~200 RSS subscribers. . .and providing information for over 2,000 – 2,500 unique visitors per day.
You will now begin to see a YouTube image in the post for new application reviews. You can use this for a couple things. In case you wish to embed the video on your website or blog you can go to YouTube and grab the embed code. Also you can tap this(while browsing InstallerApps.com on your iPhone or iPod Touch). . .and it will open up the video in your YouTube application.
It seems like more and more applications are coming out lately. . .with Installer.app going this strong only a completely open application SDK from Apple can bring it down.
And we all know how Apple likes to keep things proprietary.
