PocketTouch Fully Tested
March 29, 08 by DougSo I told you I would give this application thorough testing and let you know my thoughts.
I really like this application and hope maybe in the future Apple will integrate something like this into the software.
When putting this in my pocket(while playing music with PocketTouch running), it didn’t mess up at all. I thought it would maybe touch your side and pause the music. . .or even skip to the next track(just from walking). I have to say the sensitivity is /almost/ perfect. I say almost because a couple times when I slid my hand into my pocket, the volume increased. This was most likely my own fault, but I just wanted to make a note of it.
Battery life isn’t affected that much. At least compared to having SSH running(which of course I don’t do), PocketTouch doesn’t take up that much battery life. I’m not saying it doesn’t take any(especially with the update that adds track information). I just know that after a 5 hour shift at work listening to it, the battery level was around the halfway mark(it normally would be around the 3/4 mark).
To some that might be a big deal, to me it’s not. I can come home and immediately charge it back up. . .others might need to use it for an extended period of time.
I see this application gets updated quite often, so I can only hope it will continue to improve.

The iphone and touch are based on inferred sources from your fingers and its not very sensitive so you could keep this in your pocket or even bounce it off something and it won’t register. It’s not really a “touch” screen like PDAs so this should work great.
Nice site btw, thanks for all your work.
