Smarter shuffle for your iPod: skip the songs you don’t like and we’ll do the rest.
The developers claim to ‘guess your mood’ and predict what you want to listen to. This company has been given VC funding for this application and future ones(I believe).
I have yet to interview the developers. . .but even when I do I doubt they will give away their secret sauce.
I think it has something to do with the genre of the song that you skip. . .or maybe the tempo(beat). If you listen to a slow song all the way through, it knows to go get another slow song. . .maybe.
I believe it’s much simpler than that.
I think it just logs what songs you skip and then put that son as a low priority when shuffling the tunes.
So, if you use it long enough, it will know all the songs you are not fond of and will play those you like.
