I think it just logs what songs you skip and then put that son as a low priority when shuffling the tunes. So, if you use it long enough, it will know all the songs you are not fond of and will play those you like. I believe it’s much simpler than that.

I think it has something to do with the genre of the song that you skip. . .or maybe the tempo(beat). If you listen to a slow song all the way through, it knows to go get another slow song. . .maybe.
