New Installer.app Update

RiP Dev has an article up about the developments of the update to Installer.
Hope you’ll like the new functionality and interface when it’s out. Please bear with us and let us know if we have missed something you think is essential in Intaller.

I HAVE THE OLDER version of the iphone, it was unlocked and had a lot of app and unconsciously updated trough Itunes, how can i do to get back all my app..
please somebody help me!!!!

Sorry Patty, you can’t. . .at least not with firmware 2.0.
You /can/ downgrade to 1.1.4 or whatever firmware you need. . .and then jailbreak again. . .and then reinstall all of your old applications.
It will take a while until the old applications get ported to work with firmware 2.0

when is the offical relase date for the installer 4. i also have another question will the old sources from installer work on the new version of istaller, i hope so cus i would suck if they didnt have that many apps

@louie, I can’t test. . but since they have a separate firmware for 2g and 3g. . .i would assume no(im only guessing though)

@hardcorespartan: Yes, the sources will work as long as their individual hosts decide to keep it that way. It’s just the applications that need to be upgraded to work with 2.0.

……..guys I’m dyin here waitin for them….hopefully it comes out like this week or next cause i miss all my apps. freakin apple upgraded my 1.1.4 to a 2.0 when i opened itunes cause i had money in my account and the upgrade was bought automatically and it unjailbroke my ipod touch. :’(

iTunes doesn’t upgrade firmware unless you tell it to. It sucks that it confused you and upgraded you though. You can downgrade if you want, but 1.1.4 application won’t be supported anymore.

@ajmacc you can use ‘ziphone’ from ziphone.org to jailbreak 1.1.4

@mokilla I dont think so. There is a beta floating around I think but that is just for developers to test stuff on, nothing is working

comon guys the new installer beta 5 is ready for download – just update from installer beta 4 on iphone
