With the release of the 3G iPhone, Installer Apps has been gaining a lot of new visitors. Since things are slow right now. . .I just wanted to take a moment to say hello to our new visitors(and our loyal visitors too!). . .and just let everyone know what’s new with the website lately.
Yesterday I upgraded the hosting account to the next tier. The last one limited us to 300GB of bandwidth per month. With the traffic increase, as of the iPhone 3G launch) that would put us right around that 300 mark. Instead of risking those horrid charges if the website went over the limit I went ahead and upgraded us. The new plan limits us at 1,200GB per month so we should be good for a while.
I wanted everyone to know we’re now on Technorati. If you look in the sidebar you should see a ‘Favorite on Technorati‘ link. If you have a minute and would like to add us we would greatly appreciate it.
I also wanted to let everyone know the progress on our iTunes podcast. We’re now up to 1,700 subscribers to our iTunes podcast!?!?!?!?! That is so unbelievably amazing. You can check this screenshot to see how popular our podcast is, compared to the others(this was when searching ‘iphone apps’ in the podcast section of iTunes).
Also, if you browse the ‘Technology’ categories in the podcast section of iTunes. . .you may have seen us in the ‘New and Notable’ widget at the top.
What is even cooler, is that when you’re in the Technology category of the Podcast section in iTunes. To the right you’ll see a ‘Top Podcasts’ widget, and we’re listed at #6!!! Right behind Diggnation.
