Don’t Upgrade to the iPhone 2.0.1 Firmware

At least if you want to continue with your Cydia and Installer magic. Currently the 2.0.1 firmware breaks the jailbreak(Pwnage Tool) on your iPhone and iPod Touch 2.0. At least you have something to look forward to. Apple says the update only includes ‘bug fixes’ and boy does it. I will continue doing more stress tests on it today(since I have had to restore mine about 6 times already). But this seems to be the update everyone has been looking for(for stability issues).
Remember, it wasn’t that long ago that the iPhone Dev Team confirmed they had already jailbroken the 2.1 beta.
They have just announced that everything is done and they are just doing some final testing with the application.

just a note: 2.1 is not 2.0.1. this is only a bugfix version, but the 2.1 will contain new features as well.

Correct, the iPhone dev team said 2.1 because that’s what they thought it was going to be called

No Doug, they actually jailbroke 2.1 beta 1. So far Apple has released 2.1b1, 2.1b2, and 2.0.1 (never a beta on 2.0.1). They didn’t get their terminology mixed up.

I have a 2 G Iphone and I upgraded it to 2.0.1 firmware. I am having so much trouble to unlock the phone since I am a TMobile user and it is still locked to AT@T.
I hope you can help me.

@ray, there isn’t a way to unlock 2.0.1 yet. . .or even 2.0
