Jailbreak 2.1 iPhone and iPod Touch

Windows users can now Jailbreak their 2.1 firmware.

Update – The iPhone Dev Team has released the PwnageTool 2.1 and QuickPwn 1.1(for Mac users only).

The 2.1 firmware has just been released for the iPod Touch and will be released on Friday for the iPhone.

Do NOT upgrade if you want to keep your jailbroken iPhone applications.

  • Fix App Store Bugs
  • Quicker Backups

    Is it ok to upgrade iTunes to 8.0 or will this screw up my jailbreak?

    iTunes itself won’t mess anything up with a jailbroken device(like shut it down).

    has anyone actualy backed up their iphone or ipot? becuase mine takes like 20 minutes and the bar only moves about half a cm.

    The new iTunes 8.0 is supposed to fix that and make backing up alot faster.

    I haven’t had any issues with syncing or backing up(both are quicker). . .and no ALOD(apple logo of death) so far!

    hey, im new to this but i have a first gen iTouch on 1.1.2 firmware. how do i jailbreak to 2.1?? do i have to jailbreak to all the previous updates or is it possible to jump update to 2.1??

    I have a quesiton, I been using my iphone for ages and I recently got the 3g, I never thought about jailbreaking it since I was happy with the device and I wanted to wait for the apple updaed for mms, copy/paste, etc..but these updates never came and I don’t think apple will ever implement these nice apps …anyways, since I’m happy with ATT, I guess I only need the jailbreak and not unlock it, right? now is it safe to jailbreak your iphone and keep connecting to itunes for updates and other things?? I don’t want t lose my data or I don’t want my iphone to shut down or lock on me!!

    I need to know is there anybody out there that lives in the Will county Illinois area that knows how to jailbreak a 3g? I have tried 4 times with no sucess. I can meet you anywhere to get this done. I am not computer Davy and I would like to get the installer apps skins winterboard and all the toys. Please help?
