iRealSMS is an alternative SMS client for your iPhone. It supports features like landscape keyboard, drafts, templates, searching, and conversations. When first launched you’ll be greeted with a mail like interface making your inbox, drafts, sent, templates, and outbox easily avaliable. You can also view your conversations as your would the default SMS app. Search allows you to do just that, search by keyword through your contacts and SMS database.

But the real show here is the sending of text messages. The interface will seem familiar with the addition of an auto correct toggle and an insert button which will let you insert contact data into your message. To turn into landscape mode, simply turn it on it’s side.

iRealSMS is a good choice as an alterative to the default SMS client. Unfortunately it is not free, ~$13 for the full version, ~$6 to upgrade if you had it before. You can use the app in demo mode to get a feel for it but you’re unable to send messages with it. I suggest you give it a try.
