I’m really confused why apple just doesn’t make the firmware already jailbroken because great people like Dev team will always come along and make the product better. Thanks guys, made it worth getting an Iphone :)

@Ben, it just depends on if you lose something from the upgrade. I didn’t lose anything(I mostly use official apps so it’s not a big deal to me).

I combined the two i used pwnage tool to make my custom firmware and than i used quickpwn to jailbreak. everything is back to normal. im using t mobile i just dont like redownloading all my cydia apps and all that i used chronus but dont no where to put the files when using ssh to save me time. if anybody knows how shoot me a email charlieb620@gmail.com. thanx.

usually you would find the .ispw under
C:\Documents and Settings\User_Name\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
you replace “User_Name” with your username

This quick pawn works on ipod 2G too.

Hi,
i updated my iphone to 2.2 and its not connecting to the network if i restart it just shows me the network for a sec or two and goes back to no service.
i cannot find the .ispw any where on my system. i downloaded the QuickPwn22.zip.4527189.TPB.torrent but it dosent open…… pls pls pls help me i have spent alot to get the phone and i have gone crazy since the last three days trying to get it work.

Listen guys, don’t jailbreak your iphone if you’re a fucking idiot, because then what is going to happen?… you’re going to call apple and whinnneee and then apple is going to go gung ho and making preventative measures so everytime you plug a jailbroken iphone into itunes it fucks it up, so please, if you have any questions about how to jailbreak your iphone, find someone else first and have them teach you, don’t be a MORON! and don’t ruin this for everyone else.

The program doesn’t work with 2nd generation iPod touch yet. That’s probably where the firmware error string problem is coming from. Just sit tight until a new solution is released I guess.

I need help with quickpwn2.2 software. I downloaded this software from mamy different websites and tried to extracting it. When I double click on the quickpwn icon, the same thing happen every single times, it said “The software FAILED TO INITIALIZED……..” and it stuck there. I’ve been trying the same thing for 2 days and decided to give it a shot on my other computer. Now the same thing happen and it said about “something wrong with the .NET framework and you need to contact with your publisher…….” and of course, the software is not running. Does any one know what is going on or how I take care of this problem, please show me step by step how to run this software. Thank millions in advanced.

Firmware Error String. I have restored from firmware 1.1.4 to 2.0 using itunes. However after using Quick Pwn I keep on getting this error message “Firmware Error String”. I have found absolutely no solutions in any of the blogs. My iphone is dead locked.

Hey would QuickPwn 2.2 work with a 1.1.1 iphone? I see people with newer versions use this to update their phones, so I was wondering if it would work on 1.1.1

during running quickpwn the programm hung. after about five minutes i had to force quit quickpwn. Since the Iphone was already in this mode, it is dead right now. Can somebody help me? It doesn’t respond on anything…

I was putting songs on my jail broken first generation i phone and i saw a button sayingn update phone on I tunes so i was like oh well a little upgrade will make things smoother so i thought after 20 minutes or so the update was done my phone locked talkin about the sim card is wrong i can only recieve calls thats it and texts but i cant reply….omg what do i do

I have never had a problem jailbreaking my Touch,but when I tried to do it on someone
elses it screwed up.I did a restore and did the Jb over again and it works fine now.
I am having to rejailbreak mine though because apple blocked my cydia app.
All in all this program is pretty damn good.

version 2.2 and 2.2.1, you guys should make it clear which firmware goes with which quickpwn version. I almost pulled my hair out because I dl’ed the 2.2.1 and trying to jailbreak my ipod touch running on 2.2.1/5H11a. the program keeps saying “the ipsw is corrupt or maybe not supported bla bla” …what the heck! now I just read it somewhere else and it says that version 2.2 is NEWER than 2.2.1! geez.
