iPhone and iPod Touch 2.2 Jailbreak Guide
November 24, 08 by DougI have updated the Jailbreak page to reflect the latest 2.2 firmware. I also made a video of the entire process(and attached it on the page as well as in this post. You can’t really see the text on the screen, but I read what it says. . .and go through it step by step with you(the process takes about 8 minutes).

hey, i’ve jailbroken my iTouch but i can’t use Cydia, if i try to start it, at first there comes a menu where you can choose between user, hacker and so on, but if i choose one of them it breaks down and nothing is happen. can someone help me.
Doug Says: 24.11.08 at 8:22 pm
@Dmentd, You could download the firmware from the links I provide in the Jailbreak page(maybe it goes faster in the browser instead of itunes).
@black, You should pick the ‘user/graphical’ option that you see(instead of the hacker one). Then after it refreshes, you should see the apps. You might need to rejailbreak to get to that hacker/user option again.

Doug,
Would this work the same for a phone that has not been jailbroken before? I would love to use my iPhone as a video camera
Doug Says: 25.11.08 at 12:19 am
Pauli,
You have to start with a non-jailbroken iPhone/iPod Touch. . .so yes, it works.

albert hynek Says: 29.11.08 at 8:13 pm
Its taking forever to start up after installation and it keeps constantly rebooting in a reboot cycle. is it supposed to do that?

Seems that QuickPwn doesn’t like my iPod…
I am upgraded to 2.2 (not from Apple, but eh, .ipsw, right?) and it gives me an error at the very first prompt :
This version of QuickPwn can only jailbreak devices with versions >= 2.0.
Bro Says: 28.12.08 at 3:56 pm
Apparently, it doesn’t like Vista 64-bit…worked perfectly on Vista 32-bit.
Doug Says: 28.12.08 at 8:45 pm
I have Vista 64-bit, and it works just fine.

Yeah…it could be useful to post a fucking link to the ipsw thing….since its sort of impossible to find online? so pretty much this whole gay video is useless, since you need some nonexistent file
