General iPhone News Posts?

Would you like to read iPhone news here?

I normally keep the posts here related to iPhone applications or jailbreaking(guides, themes, etc). I used to do a ‘iPhone News of the Week’ post on Sundays where I would collect iPhone news, and includes 10-20 links to the articles at the end of the week.

I was thinking about almost doing the same, but instead of putting them all in 1 post, just posting about the news as it happens. Also, talking about the article instead of just putting a link to it(like a regular iPhone blog).

I have some extra time to put into the blog, now that I am full time. . .I just want to make sure it will be worth the time.

    I would like to see easier access to your current list of apps. This site is great for reviews. It would be even greater if the list apps is the first thing you see with more users voting and maybe a top 10 list.

    I like how this website is dedicated to just apps because a lot of iPhone news websites I visit always have the same posts. Like a firmware is released, and in my RSS reader I see 40 posts from 40 different blogs about how a new firmware was released. Unless you can have original posts, and now just the news that everyone else is posting, I think you should just stick to reviewing new apps because you’re good at that. For example, I enjoyed reading that BigBoss article (getting hacked hypothetically) you had a few days ago, because it was original and nobody had an article like that.

    Hi Doug
    I like the site as it is. And I would like to see one solid iPhone /Apple news (minus laptops/servers). With that said, if you could incorporate solid iPhone news with your current, I think your site would be top choice.
    I couldn’t vote, byline/safari on the iphone are not showing the form :(

    On previous posting from Max, I think he has a good point. That article was good and more like that would be great.
    To my earlier comment, if you did solid news like Max and I are asking, we could unsubscribe to many other repeating iPhone “news” sites.
