EasyWakeup

Version: 1.3.1

First iPhone application which can help to awake easier. It detects your sleep phase through the accelerometer and awakes you at the best time.

EasyWakeup is supposed to be an alternative to the ‘watches’ that help to wake you up gradually and detect when your in a light phase of sleep to do so. Set the time you want to be awakened, alarm tone, a personal message if you like, and then you attach it to your arm as you go to bed. As of right now you need to put your phone into airplane mode and the brightness on low, the screen will be on the entire night.

I had personally strapped it to my arm using a thin cloth, and to be safe, placed a pillow under that arm to prevent any potential ‘damage’. Well next morning, lo’ and behold, it had successfully woken me from my slumber. I definitely like this app, except for lack of the ability to lock the phone. Thankfully I had enough time to charge it back to full before I had to leave but not everyone does. My ~5 hour sleep took about 20% of the battery. EasyWakeup isn’t free, the developers ask for a donation to receive an activation key, but what you could donate is minimal compared to buying devices specifically for waking you, upward $200! Go out and try EasyWakeup, just try not to sleep on your phone!
