System-wide copy/paste implementation.

Clippy is another implementation of copy and paste for our iPhones or iPod touch. Clippy achieves this by adding a copy and paste button right above the keyboard which appear by pressing the ‘.?123′ key. To highlight text just press and hold to bring up the magnifying glass and drag your finger over your desired text. Then copy, and take it to any other text box and paste.

Now don’t think this is exactly what we’ve been waiting for as you cannot take text, from maybe a web site, and copy it into an email. Only user generated text can be copy, pasted. But this is a great start to system wide copy/paste.

Downloaded this today and been enjoying it all day long. It’s not perfect, but darn near close until Apple wakes up and adds them themselves.

Installed & used it for a few days on my iPhone 3G, can copy & paste texts in input field between apps. However, it drains the batter so quick, anyone experience the same issue?

I don’t have issues w/ battery drain any more than usual. Check your process list w/ SBSettings processes plugin and make sure something isn’t running that shouldn’t be.
