Create, manage, and delete groups of contacts from your address book.

ABGrouper wants to organize your contacts into groups like “Family”, or In my case, “Guild Members”, for easy access. Simply open the app and go into your groups section, from here you can view and add groups. Once you’ve made a group go back to the Contacts section. From here, select the contacts you want to add to a group and then press Add, your avaliable groups will appear.

Now the groups are fine and dandy, but, they failed to appear where it matters, the Phone.app. My contacts had not been organized like I had set within the app, yet ABGrouper still showed I had them organized into groups. Now this may be due to the fact I use Google Sync for my contacts and it doesn’t want to play nice. But, Goodle Sync works through Exchange, so maybe only Exchange contact management has problems. Bottom line, it’s good contact management, if it works for you.

   I want to send an email to everyone in the group by entering the group name in mail. If this app doesn’t do this, which one does?

   You can put your Contacts in the Groups, and you can delete all the Contacts in a Group. However, I was looking for something that would delete the Contacts from my Contacts list. The idea of deleting a contact with 4 – 5 keystrokes becomes tedious when you have over 200 contacts

   In the above description of how the app works, it says, “Once you’ve made a group go back to the Contacts section. From here, select the contacts you want to add to a group and then press Add, your avaliable groups will appear.” This is impossible. It can’t be done. Zilch. Nada. Zero

   And you can’t delete Contacts except the iPhone way, i.e. one at a time using 4 – 5 keystrokes each. I wish it worked the way it advertises itself
