All of these things sound great for the next iteration of our beloved phone. Personally I’d like to see a physical slide out keyboard, even if it made the device a bit thicker it wouldn’t hurt. I would also like to hear some announcement about the iPhone on other carriers, Verizon(Alltel) is most likely if at all.

Hi! I just got the iphone its locked. i wana unlock it and i did some research too but there are still so many confusions.Here are some quetions
1) Is jailbreaking via Ziphone is unlocking?
2) If i dowload ziphone and unlock it will the phone will be under warranty?
3) what do i have to with itunes? i dont have any version of it what number like 7.6 something like that i have to download.?

Unlocking = using your iPhone on another network(not AT&T)
Jailbreaking = lets you put 3rd party apps on your iPhone(what we do here at InstallerApps.com)

Apple and AT&T will tell you that if you put 3rd party applications on your device, you void the warranty to your iPhone or iPod Touch. Thankfully if you /only/ jailbreak you can restore to factory default settings and they won’t be able to tell. If you unlock, then you will will to ‘revirginize’ your device. . .that’s when it gets a little more complicated.

You will need iTunes if you want to ’sync’ music/videos to your iPhone or iPod Touch. Click here to download the latest version of iTunes.

When you jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch(works on both) with ZiPhone(www.ZiPhone.org) it will automatically put Installer on your device.

InstallerApps.com does not host any themes or applications. You can not download applications here. I’m sorry, I would love to host the applications. . .I just can’t afford that amount of bandwidth(hosting).

Hi there, for users with a touch and a standard FM transmitter (cable-type), who hang it over their rear view mirrors, I would have thought someone would have created an app to flip the UI 180 degrees so that it is usable when hanging upside down.

To date I haven’t found such an app though! It would be immensely popular I’m sure, as it’s confusing and annoying (and probably dangerous while driving) to have to use it upside down!

Is this a technical limitation, or just a niche that’s yet to be realized?

I don’t think there is a technical limitation. . .I just don’t think such a feature/utility has been created yet.

I am new to the iphone I only had it 3 weeks, but i have been reading up on it, and have realized that its a great phone. I got on youtube, and seen that many people have put in different themes, and I wanted to find out how to install themes onto my iphone. I have the updated software 1.1.4. I tried listening how some of the people have put it on it, but for some reason I could never find the correct links to find out out how to do it. Can some please list the steps on how to set up my iphone with new themes?

Hey Frank, to setup themes on your iPhone you will first need to jailbreak it. Use ZiPhone to do this. Once you do this install the application ‘SummerBoard’. . .you can find this in the ‘System’ category. After you install SummerBoard you will be given an icon called ‘SMBPrefs’. Open this, tap ‘theme’, and choose a new theme from the list. You can download alternative themes from Installer.

TIP – What I do is add the Shai source. The URL to Shai’s source is “ride4.org/shai.xml”. You should see an ‘all sources’ source in the ’sources’ category. This adds like 70-100 sources.
