A wallpapers manager for your desktop that uses very little processor or memory. This is not a replacement for Winterboard. It is a separate enhancement to help fill the gap where I believe Winterboard leaves off.
Daniel contacted me a couple of days ago saying that he already sold is iPhone and wouldn’t be able to review any new applications.
After getting a tremendous response on my last post(asking for a new reviewer), I have worked out an agreement with Russ and he will begin right where Daniel left off. Daniel will be missed and I thank him for working here for as long as he did.
Welcome to the team Russ! I look forward to reading your reviews.
I was just informed by Daniel that he will be switching to the Blackberry very soon and he won’t be able to do reviews after he sells his iPhone(says it might be 2 weeks).
If you’re an iPhone enthusiast like myself and Daniel then I would love to have you write reviews here at InstallerApps.com. This job does pay(via PayPal), but the deal will be worked out via email.
If you’re interested please send an email to contact@installerapps.com with ‘I want to write for InstallerApps.com’ as the subject.
Daniel, you will be missed by myself and a lot of the dedicated readers here at InstallerApps.com. We all hope you do well with your future endeavors.

The Dev Team has updated redsn0w previously used to jailbreak the iPod Touch 2G to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS! The jailbreaks works on Windows, OSX, and Linux.
Last night we released updated versions of our redsn0w jailbreak and ultrasn0w carrier unlock. These versions are now compatible with the iPhone 3GS running at 3.0. Welcome aboard, 3GS owners! (The tools of course remain compatible with all of the other platforms too.) Also last night, saurik released 3GS-compatible versions of MobileSubstrate and WinterBoard, components that enable many different add-ons and themes.
How to get the goods:
* The redsn0w torrent seeds are all here. Any direct mirroring help would also be appreciated.
* The updates to ultrasn0w, MobileSubstrate, and WinterBoard are all handled directly through Cydia (after you’ve jailbroken!)
* The Cydia repo for ultrasn0w is http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com (that last o in ultrasn0w is the number 0!)

Lately it seems my iPhone 3G on jailbroken 3.0 firmware is pretty slow and laggy. Apps, App Store or Cydia apps run fine. But using official Apple applications seem to bug and lag a lot for me. Even going through the settings app feels sluggish. How has 3.0 been treating you, good, bad? Sound off in the comments with your experience.
Early this morning the Dev Team released redsn0w. Unlike previous iterations of redsn0w, it only could jailbreak iPod Touch 2G. The Dev Team has combined the functionality of QuickPwn into redsn0w and it works on the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 1G, and iPod Touch 2G. It does not jailbreak iPhone 3GS, nor does it include ultrasn0w (the upcoming iPhone 3G 3.0 unlock).
Head over to the Dev Teams site to download redsn0w (Windows or OS X), and let the jailbreaking begin.

Not long ago the Dev Team posted their latest installment of PwnageTool with compatibility for iPhone OS 3.0. There are a few niches though.
Ultrasn0w (the new iPhone 3G unlock) is not out yet. Do not upgrade if you rely on the unlock for service.
iPhone 3G users that don’t need an unlock can upgrade and jailbreak without issue.
iPhone 2G users can upgrade and unlock perfectly.
iPod Touch 1st Gen can be jailbroken on 3.0.
iPod Touch 2nd Gen can NOT be jailbroken on 3.0 yet.
And most of all, PwnageTool 3.0 does NOT work on the iPhone 3GS.
As of right now PwnageTool is only available for the Mac, QuickPwn is not yet updated to support 3.0. But if you get a custom firmware of 3.0, you could use that and upgrade just fine.
