Casual games on the web are great. Casual games on your iPhone(anywhere you want) is that much better. Nintendo has done a great job at proving the ‘causal video game market’ is nothing to scoff at. Take a look at the online casual game market they’re able to bring in over $1 billion in annual sales.
It’s been just over a year since Apple released the 1st generation iPhone. . .and already casual games have made their mark. Below is a list of the top 25 games for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

I have plugged the RSS feed of my Revver videos into Feedburner. . .and let Feedburner set up the feed for iTunes. Now you can subscribe to our daily videos(normally 2 per day) right in your iTunes client.
Click here and then subscribe in iTunes. . .
I read that it might take a week until it shows up in the iTunes store(by searching). . .but until then you can just click the link above. . .or click the link in the sidebar(top right).
The more that subscribe the better it will ‘rank’ in iTunes. So please, everyone go subscribe(even if you have to unsubscribe later. . .it still helps).
Note - It will day a day or two until all 300+ videos are up in iTunes. . .right now it’s only showing the first 16, this will change soon though.

I just changed the setting in Wordpress that allows any visitors to comment on posts. To prevent spam I will be moderating ONLY the comments that include a link to somewhere. This combined with the ability to ban specific IP-Addresses should be good enough. If not, I’ll have to change it back to the old way, but I think it’ll be good.
Recently I did the something similar, and allowed all visitors to rate applications. This has improved the Best iPhone Apps section, so I would like to try this with comments as well.

A few days ago I let everyone know that I created a Twitter account for InstallerApps.com.
Sadly the first plugin I used for this didn’t work correctly with ‘future posts’. Normally I setup posts for the next day. . .the night before(around 2am - 4am). When I set a post up for the next day it would send the update to Twitter. . .but since it wasn’t published yet. . .you would get a ‘page not found’ error.
After looking for other plugins that would fix this issue. . .other issues came up. Today though, I found a plugin that fixes everything(the 4th one I downloaded and tried).

I just wanted to let everyone know about the new Twitter account I created for InstallerApps.com.
If you want to get updates for this website(much like RSS). . .you can click here to follow me on Twitter.
For now I will be sending out updates about new iPhone Apps and updates. However, I will soon be posting the links that I mention in the ‘Weekly News’. . .right when I find out about them.

. . .this website went live. Every now and then I like to let the readers know just how things are going and what’s going on in the future.
The goal when I started was to make it as easy as possible to learn how to do everything you want with your iPhone or iPod Touch. I wanted to create the highest quality content possible. . .and do it every day(7 days a week).
RSS subscribers are now over 1,200, which has more than doubled in the last 4 months(4 months ago we had just broken 500). 4 months ago we had ~650 members. . .now we have over 2000. Also, 4 months ago I began uploading the videos from here to YouTube, and yesterday we got the 500th subscriber the InstallerApps.com YouTube channel.
I have nothing to compare this to(this is my first major website/blog), but as long as the numbers keep going up, it has to be good right?
Thanks again everyone!
Go tell your friends about InstallerApps.com and keep enjoying the content.

I don’t want to go into too much detail here(since this is a website about iPhone Apps).
If you have a blog(or know someone that does) then you will like my latest project.
The Blog Criticizer
With over 170,000 blogs being created every day everyone needs a little advice. Whether it be search engine optimization(SEO). . .or improving reader usability. Everyone wants more traffic and higher stats and this is a great way to start.

With the help of ‘Your Repository‘. InstallerApps.com now has it’s own custom repository.
If an application or theme is listed here then it will be available when you add our repository source to Installer on your iPhone or iPod Touch. All you have to do is add. . .
http://iphone.installerapps.com
. . .then refresh Installer and you’ll be able to install every application(and theme) reviewed here. Currently there are more than 300 applications in the repository(315 as of right now. . .I believe). If at any time you can’t find an application from this source(or you just have a question), just contact me to let me know.
The best part is that you can make your own custom repository source(s). Maybe you want just games, or just themes. You can click here and create your own account and your own source.
Update - A member asked how this source would work with ‘duplicates’ and updates. They were scared that adding this source would cause a loop of updates(from one source to the other). This will NOT happen if you add this source to your Installer.
So whether you have 0 sources in your iPhone. . .or if you have 100+(like I do). . .adding this source will NOT cause any conflicts.

I just wanted to do a quick post explaining the reason for a ‘lack of reviews’ lately. I know I am behind(with emails too) and will hopefully be able to make things normal soon.
This past Saturday I lost my Mother(the funeral was yesterday). . .so it’s been hard to get back into the daily tasks. . .but I am trying.
I don’t want to get too personal here. . .but I will /try/ to do a post about it on my personal blog.

Now everyone can rate applications.
Before it was set to only allow registered members to vote and rate an application listed here. Since the contest I have noticed that the more you vote. . .the better our ‘Best of‘ sections get. I mean I sort of knew this already, but I had no idea of how much it would improve.
So please, go rate all of your favorite. . .and not so favorite applications!
