A light application with different colors.

Just the thing I’ve been looking for, a light application with 7 different colors. The application is no better than syncing photos to your device that’s just a solid color and viewing them in Photos. The only difference here is there’s advertising! Excellent.

A German leveling app

There are many level apps out there that take advantage of your iPhone or iPod Touch’s accelerometer to replace a traditional bubble level. SpiritLevel doesn’t do much innovating in this category. It’s a simple level that works. There are some instructions that are in German on the back, but not being able to read it really isn’t obstructing my use of the app. If it were in English as an option I’d be pleased.

A must have for all Street Fighter 4 players.

If you enjoy Street Fighter 4 then this app is for you. It has a LOT of information from how to do certain moves, how much damage they’ll do, how to unlock characters, terminology, and a lot more. More than I can list here. But defintely try this out, you’ll get some use out of it. I know I will once Street Fighter 4 comes out on the PC later this summer.

Blocks HTML within incoming email.

One popular way for spammers to know if your email account is active is to attach images in HTML so when you open the mail it loads and they see it on their server that you opened the mail. ImageBlock prevents HTML scripts from loading. Once you install from then on any email you open with HTML will not load that content. It’s that simple. Now this tweak won’t turn off unless you uninstall it or use SBSettings to toggle it off so be sure to keep that in mind when installing this.

A little tool that updates Earth Quakes from around the world in real time.

Quake Monitor wants to help you keep up to date on earth quakes, but it does this by just loading a monitoring web site in it’s own browser in a not so elegant manner. You’re better off just book marking a live monitoring site in Safari and using that. The experience will be more enjoyable and faster.

aTimeTool is a time tool app for the iPhone. It can auto start or close iPhone airplane mode, Wifi, and bluetooth.

If you’re one who wants their iPhone to turn on or off wifi, bluetooth, or airplane mode at pre-set times, aTimeTool may be your solution. Under the category you want, Airplane mode, Wifi, or Bluetooth add a new time frame for which you want the feature turned on or off like you would in the Clock app. Once that’s done just wait till the time you set to see the results.

SpringBack lets you backup and restore your entire home screen with the touch of a button.

Don’t you hate when you do a fresh restore your icons on your home screen are all jumbled from when you last had them? If you’re like me that’s really annoying because you become accustomed to a certain place for a certain app. Yes, iTunes does backup those settings, but it doesn’t always work or you don’t want to use a full iTunes backup. That’s where SpringBack comes in. Simply make a back up and name it. Now if your icons ever get scrambled you can restore to one of your backups.

A very light online navigator for iPhone.

ATLAS.Sid is an app that utilizes GPS or cellular triangulation to locate you on a map. It’s simple and fast at pulling maps and your location to your phone. There’s no direction, it’s to meerly find you and try to calculate your speed using your location. The locating was very fast and accurate. It seemed a lot faster than the Maps app. But the ability to figure out your speed didn’t work when I took a slow ride on a bike.

PushMod gives you the option to choose one minute fetch time for email.

Not too much to say here. Simply install the app and goto your Fetch Data settings and set it to one minute. This will now poll the servers every minute to check for new emails, calendar updates, etc. Normally you had to manually modifiy files via SSH to get the same effect, now it’s a simple mod from Cydia.

Track your shipments directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch.

TrackIt EN is a simple app for tracking shipments from various carriers like FedEx, UPS, DHL and more. Simply select your carrier, type the tracking number in and press the button. It’ll load up the carrier’s tracking website with all the information you would get on your home computer.

Two problems I had with this app is that there was no back button after you tracked a package. You’ll have to exit and reload the app. And there is no option to save tracking numbers so I hope you’ve got a good memory.

Allows you to forward text messages as a new SMS or email!

Just a simple app to browse through your sent and received text messages and forward them else where. Weather to a new text message or email, the app opens the correct program respectively with the text message already pasted in. It will also have the ability to delete single text messages soon. Disregard the option shown within the app.

Browse your iPhone’s file system from any networked browser.

iBrowser is a simple app to make your iPhone or iPod Touch’s file system browser on any computer without any special software except a web browser. Just connect to Wi-Fi and press the Start Server. You’ll then be given two web addresses you enter in to your computer browser’s URL. You’ll then be connected to your device. Feel free to browse or view files from the device, but you cannot write files to memory with this method.

AppLinks automatically creates shortcuts for all AppStore apps for quick access.

Ever try to SSH into your device to view the files of a specific App Store app but can’t find it because the files aren’t named. This is what AppLinks will help you with. Open it up and press the bottom left button and it’ll make shortcut folders in /var/mobile/AppLinks and find shortcuts to all your App Store apps by name.

CallController uses the accelerometer to control your calls in multiple ways.

CallController wants to make that built in accelerometer a bit more useful in your daily iPhone use instead of silly things, like virtual fishing. When enabled it will monitor different positions the phone could be in and determine from presets what you want it to do. For example, while my phone is face down, I flip it over, or shake the phone, all calls I receive can be automatically taken to Voice mail, a busy signal, or mute the ringer. You can also set a text message to be sent when ever you block a call, so you can inform who ever called you’re in an important meeting.

Backup MxTube videos and restore them later.

MxBackup is a simple backup utility for your saved YouTube videos via MxTube. Just press either backup or restore, to do either of though actions. All backups are sent to ‘/var/mobile/backup/mxtube’, you can now FTP those to your local machine. If you ever want to restore them, FTP the files you backed up then use MxBackup to restore them. Simple.

SysInfoPlus shows various information and system status such as system information, process status, memory, status, and more.

SysInfoPlus, like MemTest, is a task manager and system monitor for your iPhone or iPod Touch. Opposed to MemTest, SysInfoPlus features much more information. I don’t think I could explain the amount of information this app provides, let the screenshots above do it for me.

I’m very pleased with this app. It’s not for the average user, most people don’t need or care about this kind of information. But if you do, I don’t think you’ll find another one this detailed.

A Cydia catalog application to see what apps are available.

OutSource wants you to browse Cydia with actually loading Cydia. It has two browsing modes, by application or source. It’ll show apps and sources you may not have installed, but, when you select an app it’ll display the source URL and name of the developer. While looking at an app, you’re given the ability to launch Cydia directly to that app’s page.

Create, manage, and delete groups of contacts from your address book.

ABGrouper wants to organize your contacts into groups like “Family”, or In my case, “Guild Members”, for easy access. Simply open the app and go into your groups section, from here you can view and add groups. Once you’ve made a group go back to the Contacts section. From here, select the contacts you want to add to a group and then press Add, your avaliable groups will appear.

Now the groups are fine and dandy, but, they failed to appear where it matters, the Phone.app. My contacts had not been organized like I had set within the app, yet ABGrouper still showed I had them organized into groups. Now this may be due to the fact I use Google Sync for my contacts and it doesn’t want to play nice. But, Goodle Sync works through Exchange, so maybe only Exchange contact management has problems. Bottom line, it’s good contact management, if it works for you.

Unleash the true power of that capacitive touch screen and only use the touch screen, no more home button.

iHome wants to unleash to use your iPhone or iPod touch’s screen to it’s fullest, by eliminating the use of the home button. iHome adds a bottom swipe bar to the very bottom of the screen. A swap to the left is just like pressing the home button, a swipe to the right brings up options to lock, respring, reboot, or power off your device.

Honestly, the only real reason I’d use this app is if your home button was broken. Otherwise it’s a waste of processes and can be an inconvience for typing when trying to press things at the very bottom of the screen.
